Curbside Cycle

I had a blast doing the shop windows for a bike shop called Curbside Cycle for many years. A small stage on a street that I was allowed to play on however I wished.

Showroom art

(Accent Decor)

From 2013 - 2020, I made art for a home decor company in Georgia called Accent Decor. We made a lot of magic (and one elephant) together. The work was challenging and fast-paced - a team of us first dreaming, scheming, and then transforming huge spaces together (usually in the span of only a week!). I spent close to seven years up on a ladder, wrangling paint cans, branches, and a lot of pots (Accent Decor is a wholesale design company that specializes in (mostly) pretty vases and containers). I discovered how much I loved set design while doing this work - that I get real joy out of sparking wonder on a stage - and it was while working with Accent Decor that the world of Eric & Eloise came to be - the storybook was first just an idea for a holiday display! I was given the job of making big storybook pages to hang in a showroom and wrote a story so I would have something to illustrate (!). People loved the story so much that Accent Decor took a chance on me and we brought it to life together.
