Acrylic, pastel, pencil and string on canvas. Jessica’s lived all over our world, and one of the things about this is that when people ask her where she’s from she’s not entirely sure how to answer. One thing she does know is that when she’s with trees, she feels home. She likes looking at light through branches and likes painting what she sees. In every place she’s lived, from Botswana to Sierra Leone to Melbourne to the banks of the Rideau, when she looks through branches, she feels home. These are some of her paintings of light through different trees she’s stood under and felt home with. These paintings are all sold, but they’re available as a set of prints in Jessica’s shop.
